This is a selection of work that displays the skills and knowledge I have achieved on my current level three programme. These are a selection of pieces that I particularly like and I feel represent my abilities, strengths and talent within this subject. The pieces all represent different types of work I have visualised and designed to breathe life into and bring to my creativity to fruition. I have enjoyed the majority of the briefs given to me because of the experiential element and the process of developing artistic elements of imagination leading to the final outcome. I feel sketchbook work is a key feature in this subject because it helps me reflect my creative thoughts and thinking through writing and images. My sketchbook work also displays a range of different types of styles, which I enjoy and develop further skills from. I am enthusiastic about graphic design and am eager to build on my existing skills and knowledge. I am excited to be able to continue my artistic journey, learning new things, gaining more information and knowledge in this subject. On visiting the open day and discussing the curriculum aims and objectives, I felt this course will provide me with the best opportunity and future as a graphic designer. I also believe the Manchester Metropolitan University can support and inspire me to pursue my goals and be a life changing experience as it has an excellent reputation as an academic institution. I am positive that if I achieve a place on this course I will work to my maximum potential towards a successful career in graphic design.
